Dante the electronic comedy - le primizie
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper discusses the pilot project conducted by Australian researchers Diana Modesto, Mary Dwyer, John Scott and Paul Eggert and intended to test procedures to be used in a larger international project which would create an electronic edition of the Divine Comedy. Electronic transcripts were made of three canti, Inferno III, Purgatorio XXIV and Paradiso V. The transcripts were based on microfilms of each of 22 of the 27 key manuscripts copied before 1355, on which Giorgio Petrocchi based the current critical edition of the Divine Comedy.
